Progress so far:
As of 9th March 2011 the code we have so far can perform the following:

  • Basic web page
  • 2D array to represent chords and time axis
  • Can select the blocks of the array and have the cell coordinates transfer out to API, and have info returned.
To do:
  • Find a compatible format for the API to return data
  • Add sound libraries for various instruments
  • Polish web page to allow users to select their instrument
  • Make look snazzy, tweak and fault find

Introduction to GoJammit

Welcome to our project blog for the upcoming Yahoo Hackday!

This blog has been created as a method to document the process of putting together a Hack for the upcoming Hack Day at the University of Dundee on March 25th 2011.

The team for this project consist of Stuart (Velk) and Dave (GoJammit). We are both 3rd year Applied Computing students at the University of Dundee and together we are going to be working on a prohject that revolves around music (hence the title, GoJammit!) - I will spare the details for now as we want to keep things hush until we have something developed. (Hey! Dont want to spoil the surprise! Besides - if we end up not making a working product, then no one can be disappointed now can they! :-) )

Today we had our first meeting to start getting things in motion - this includes getting together an action-item list and making a start. #1 being to create this blog and registering with Yahoo on the Hack Day website.
